How One Healthy Habit can Have Far-Reaching, Positive Effects

If it seems like we’ve been on a green tea binge lately, you’re right about that healthy habit. I am so very excited about all the positive research about the benefits of green tea. The exciting news keeps on coming. However, don’t take my word for it. Because I’m no “expert” in the field, just a beauty goddess who does her research. (Bet you didn’t know that was my formal title, did you?) Here is a small list of widely available, peer-reviewed information:

2001 International Journal of Cancer
Green tea can help keep many chronic diseases at bay. Scientists analyzed people for this study. Mice, fish and green tea were not studied together. They really used real people in China.

2003 International Journal of Cancer
Angiogenesis and some forms of cancer can actually be kept at bay by drinking green tea. Cancer will not develop without the presence of angiogenesis in your cells. Which means that the healthy habit of green tea will actually help stop cancer in its tracks.

2006 Journal of American Medical Association
Green tea also contributes to a decreased cancer deaths. This study proved that people who drank a lot of green tea had lower death rates due to cancer. In conclusion, green tea has appeared to help people avoid or completely recover from cancer much more effectively.

2009 American Journal of Epidemiology
Blood and lymph cancers can also be prevented by green tea. The probability of you developing any of these cancers will be cut in half if you drink at least 5 cups of green tea a day.

Those are just four reasons out of thousands.

As you can tell, green tea is definitely a healthy habit worth keeping. This is one habit that you should definitely start. Trust me — it’s a lot better (and a lot better for you) than trying to start nibbling your nails or twirling your hair!
